About Us

The Center for Psychotherapy is a comprehensive counseling center associated with several New York State certified and licensed Psychologists (PhD, PsyD), Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Mental Health Counselors (LMHC) and Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT). The Center was established in 1983 and is located in Garden City, New York.

The strength of the Center is referring you to a Therapist who is best suited to assist with your individual needs. Finding a good match is essential in your progress towards understanding and resolving changes in your life. It is the goal of the Center for Psychotherapy to help you find a Therapist that is compassionate and supportive, so you can gain the tools needed to help you through the therapeutic process.

Therapists associated with the Center offer mental health counseling for individuals, couples, families, adolescents and children. They offer video and phone sessions and accept many insurance plans.

Daytime, evening and Saturday appointments are available. Your Therapist will set up your sessions as a 45-minute standing appointment, once a week.
